Abstract: Notes on the more interesting species of seaweed collected on the Antrim Coast are presented. Both shore collection and dredging were carried out at the following locations: the Gobbins, Larne Harbour, Murlough Bay, Colliery Bay, Torr Head, Portrush, the Giants Causeway, and at Belfast Lough. Of particular note was a specimen of Ectocarpus brachiatus found, unusually, growing on Fucus serratus. Note was also made of the numerous specimens of Nitophylla collected in dredgings. A list of ten species new to Ireland is presented with place of collection.
