Abstract: This short note briefly discusses the second part of Prof. W.C. McIntosh's monograph of the British Annelids (including those found in Irish waters as well as the coasts of the Channel Islands) which includes 'five families of Polychaeta, almost all of which are marine'. The following are peculiar to the Irish marine area: Euphrosyne armadillo, Lactmatonice producta var. britannica, Harmothoë fraser-thomsoni, Phyllantinoë mollis and Sthenelais jeffreysii.
