Abstract: This short note comments on a publication by G. P. Farran - 'Record of the Copepoda taken off Cleggan, Co. Galway', Report on Sea and Inland Fisheries of Ireland, 1901, part 2 - in which a new species of copepod is described and figured, along with approximately forty other species of copepod on the west coast of Ireland.
