Abstract: This is a follow up to Praeger's first Glyceriae hunt, where he noted the species sought, Glyceriae festucaeformis, did not occur where cattle had access to the shores, and then only where reefs rose above Spring tide level. In this search, they surveyed those islands of Strangford Lough where these requirements were met, and indeed found G. festucaeformis where the above conditions prevailed. Glyceriae was also confined to a particular substratum where there was one or two inches of stones resting on drift. The zonation of this species with other maritime plants was also noted.
