Description: The Bog Rosemary is a small sub-shrub occurring on raised bogs. The flowers are small, more or less spherical, and pinkish in colour, produced in May - June. The plant is threatened by the destruction of its bog habitat, and is in any case, rare and only found at a few sites in Counties Antrim, Londonderry, and Armagh. Extinct in County Down since about 1927 owing to the destruction of its habitats (near Donaghadee).
